Our Cottage at Clear Lake
Our cottage is available for family members only.
To reserve dates for you and your family,
please send an email
with your arrival and departure dates.
If your plans change, please let me know as soon as possible.
Note: Our cottage calendar shows only the nights booked.
For example, a reservation for the nights of July 1-2-3-4
means an arrival sometime during the day on July 1 and a departure on July 5.
While you're at the cottage, please take a moment to review our Cottage Guidebook.
It contains lots of useful information such as the phone numbers for our plumber and our electrician.
If you have any problems while you're at the cottage, please let Julia, Jen or Nick know as soon as possible
so that we can fix the problem before the next guests arrive.

As we all know, keeping the cottage standing -- and maybe even looking good! --
takes a lot of loving care, i.e. work!
We have a never-ending To Do List.
If you're enjoying a few days at the lake and you see something that needs doing, please have at it!
If you can't find anything that needs attention, here are some current suggestions:
- Touch up the exterior paint.
The brown and juniper paints are upstairs in the right end of the workbench.
The east exterior wall is especially in need of repainting.
Use a scraper to remove the peeling paint.
Repaint all sections that have weathered.
- Transplant some ferns from the woods to plant up against the back of the cottage and
around the back deck.
- Plant some blackberries or other hardy ground cover on the hill above the boathouse.
This would help stop erosion.
There are blackberries in the woods that can be transplanted to the front hill.
- Wash the floors. Note: There's dirt buildup that can't be removed with a broom or a vacuum.
A wet mop is needed to get out the ground-in dirt.
In the bedrooms, the beds have to be moved to really appreciate how much dirt
has accumulated.
A vacuuming first might be good to get dirt out from some cracks.
- Roll up the rugs in the livingroom and mop and sweep up the sand and dirt that accumulates
under the rugs.
