Recent changes to STARS for DOS
Listed below are the changes that occurred in the last six major releases of STARS for DOS.
Since this program has been superceded by STARS for Windows, no further upgrades are planned
for STARS for DOS.
1.62 -- 8/31/98
- Corrected bug in QuickText functions that was limited to some Windows 95 systems
running STARS for DOS. (This modification did not involve a change of version #.)
1.62 -- 6/10/98
- Modified ICR load function so as to prevent supplemental ICRs from overwriting
preliminary reports. (This modification did not involve a change of version #.)
1.62 -- 8/20/97
- Streamlined personnel and housing modules to allow easier
adding and editing of names and addresses.
1.61 -- 7/27/97
- Expanded text fields in personnel, vehicle and traffic databases.
1.60 -- 4/14/97
- STARS's administrator can lock the Comm Log and Desk Journal so
that entries made prior to a specified date cannot be added or
changed; administrator can also restrict certain users to viewing,
editing and printing Desk Journal entries based on DJ status code.
1.59 -- 4/3/97
- Officers marked as Supervisor (as well as level 3 and 4 users) can change
and ICR's status code at any time.
1.58 -- 1/27/97
- Added options to modify heading of CommLog and to print Comm Log by To/From.
- Added option to allow Desk Journal operator to reserve CCNs.
- Broadened user rights definitions for Personnel data, Dumping and
clearing ICR passwords.
- Added print function for help screens.
1.57 -- 11/13/96
- Added Badge # and Badge expiration date fields to Personnel database.
- Added [F10] print functions to the LOCATION and STATUS reference tables.
- Added import utilities for Personnel, Housing, Vehicles and Weapons data.
